Wednesday, April 4th, the Trash Bar will host Dragonfly Managements roster of talented artist. Musicians such as Don Ryan, Owen McCarthy, and Sam Marine will take stage along with other acts which will undoubtedly prove to be a night full of talent. Dragonfly Management is a creative resource agency devoted to marketing and consulting select talent in the fine arts.

“DIME HEROES”

In the years following his daughter’s suicide, Kurt, a
comic book artist, lives a life of isolation and self-loathing. During
the course of an afternoon, Kurt must examine the strained
relationship he has with John, his teenage son, and the vicissitudes
of fate that are in store for both of them.  An American drama that
delves into the worlds of ethics, parenthood, and comic books, Dime
Heroes takes a hard look at the ideals we expect from ourselves, and
how those ideals measure up against reality.

Starring Steven Solomon, Brett Dameron, Ashley Dillard, and Kelvin Osaze Ehigie.

Actors Wanted!

Dragonfly-Management announces auditions for the world premiere of a new play by Eric Kingrea, Dime Heroes.

This new drama asks the question: Where do we find our heroes? In the years following his daughter’s suicide, Kurt, a comic book artist, lives a life of isolation and self-loathing. Over the course of an afternoon, Kurt must examine the strained relationship he has with John, his teenage son, and the sharp changes that fate has in store for both of them. A drama that delves into the worlds of ethics, parenthood, and comic books, Dime Heroes takes a hard look at the ideals we expect from ourselves, and how those ideals measure up against reality.

The cast is as follows:
KURT – white, haggard, 40’s
JOHN – white, slim but athletic build, 17
MARCY – white, 17
JIMMY – black, nerdy, 16

Auditions are to be held at Ripley Grier Theater (520 8th Avenue, btw 36th & 37th) on 1/23 from 6pm to 10pm. Call backs (if necessary) will be held on 1/25 at the same venue, same time.
